Empowering Amazon Warehouse Workers Across India
The Amazon India Workers Union (AIWU) is the first distinct working-class organization of warehouse workers in India, formed by the workers themselves through prolonged, painstaking processes and relentless struggles against Amazon management’s anti-worker practices. It was established with the goal of fostering class unity among Amazon workers, empowering them, and enabling the entire warehouse workforce to collectively demand a legitimate and fair agreement from the management. The union fights for safe working conditions and a dignified living wage for all Amazon workers in India.
